A Walk

Days go by, thoughts are thick.
To see you cry is not my wish.
I'll comfort you when you are down.
What I will do won't make you frown.
I'll tell a joke. You will laugh.
Get you a Coke, if I can have half.
The night's now warm, so warm at last.
There is no storm, clear sky is cast.
Hold my hand, I'll hold yours.
We'll go to a land, where dreams we'll store.
With each step, fingers locked.
Emotions kept, feelings chalked.
This time with you is dear to me.
I never knew how great you'd be.
